About Us
The Christchurch band of the Royal British Legion is welcoming and friendly.
We know each other by name and never miss a chance to socialise or visit a local pub. It’s not just a case of raising money for the Royal British Legion; we support and look after each other too.
United by a shared love of music, we take pride in what we play, and have fun doing it. Rehearsals are peppered with laughs and jokes, but professionalism is always present as we master and navigate our way through our ever-expanding musical repertoire.
About the Royal British Legion
As the UK’s largest Armed Forces charity, the Royal British Legion offers lifelong support to serving and ex-serving personnel and their families. This is done in a number of different ways, and we’re always appreciative of your generous support.
As a band affiliated with the Legion, we raise money for this good cause.
RBL Bands
The Royal British Legion has more than 50 bands up and down the UK, and we operate from the Christchurch branch on Bargates.
Music has been a part of the Royal British Legion for more than 80 years, and it has the power to bring people together. It can lift moods, make people experience heightened emotions and rally the masses.
Thanks to the dedication of Musical Directors past and present, the Christchurch branch has retained many members over the years due to the variety and enjoyability of the music we play.
