About Us

The Royal British Legion Christchurch, was formed in 2006 as a predominantly adult band but has experience in performing and organisation going back some 26 years within the local area. The Band is a military style band undertaking both concert and marching engagements. The Band undertakes a wide range of music to accommodate all taste and occasions and we are always pleased to discuss requirements to enhance individual events. We also can provide a Fanfare section, for corporate/special events, which is quite unique to a civilian band outside of the forces.

The Band is an active part of the Christchurch Branch of the RBL and through our music, we seek to promote the positive work and support given to Service and Ex-Service members and our Community. The Band has an independent Band Management Committee and is responsible for raising its own funds to support its activities. This is usually undertaken by performing throughout the year, gaining fees from bookings and other public performances.
