About Us
The The Royal British Legion Band, Christchurch was officially formed in June 2006 as a predominantly adult band but has the experience in performing and organisation going back some 22 years within the local area. The band is based on the sound and style of the Band and Bugles of the Light Division of the British Army, providing audiences with the unique fast flowing march routines and familiar music.
	The band outside Cloth Hall, Ghent, Ypres.
However, the band seeks to under take a wide range of music to accommodate all taste and occasions. The band is part of the Christchurch Branch of the Royal British Legion but has an independent Band Management Committee and is responsible for raising its own funds to support the band’s activities. This is usually undertaken by the band performing throughout the year and gaining fees from booking and other public performances.
