The Band was lucky enough to return the to the wonderful Christchurch Priory to host Christchurch’s official Festival of Remembrance for the second year running. This year with the support from Salvacosta a finalist in the BBC Choir of the Year Competition.
The event also prominently featured the Standard-bearers from the local Royal British Legions, as well as other local military organisations. Special thanks for their help with making the emotive finale to the ‘Selections from Les Miserables’ so iconic with their placement above the Band and Choir.
Thanks must also go to our compere for the evening Mr Gerry Nunn, who did a wonderful job introducing all the music for the evening. Thanks also to Mr Dave Morgan, who spoke about the events and concerts that the band has hosted over the last year.
Our sincere thanks go out to all who made this evening possible, both those who attended and supported the players in other ways, our band members themselves and, finally, to the Music Director of the Band – Mr Nick Jarvis.
