The Band this year took a more active role in the organisation of the Poppy Appeal Launch, in Saxon Square.
Although a the weather wasn’t massively favourable, the people of Christchurch turned out to welcome the start of the most recognised charitable fundraising campaign, the Poppy Appeal.
The band played two sets, with a brilliant Drill display from both the local Army Cadet unit and the Christchurch Branch Standard-Bearer showing their skill and precision.
After the public event the band returned to the rehearsal space at the Christchurch Royal British Legion in Bargates for an afternoon rehearsal before the Christchurch Festival of Remembrance which takes place on the 31st October in Christchurch Priory.
